Overview

Location:  Hyderabad, India

 

Travel:  15-20% domestic and international travel to the US

 

Manages Others: 3-5 Team Leads

 

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering required, Masters Degree preferred

 

Experience:  Proven experience in Cross-Functional Global Leadership and establishing strategic partnerships to drive business and technical outcomes, expertise in AI/ML/Computer Vision, working with large-scale data, and building robust ML Ops pipelines.

 

THE OPPORTUNITY:

As the VP of Software Engineering, you will lead a dynamic, multidisciplinary team of over 50 professionals, including Software Engineers, DevSecOps, ML/AIOps experts, and Architecture teams. Your leadership will drive the development of innovative, AI-first, and cloud-native solutions, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and high performance in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.

Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Leadership

o Provide visionary leadership for a large, distributed team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement

o Cultivate a high-performing team by mentoring, coaching, and inspiring engineers and technical leaders

o Champion a culture of productivity, efficiency, and operational excellence.

  1. Technical Execution

o Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of a scalable, AI-first, cloud-native Computer Vision platform

o Analyze complex technical and business problems, breaking them down into actionable, achievable solutions

o Lead the refactoring and migration of legacy systems to a microservices-based architecture.

o Continuously optimize platform performance, scalability, reliability, and availability.

  1. Collaboration and Innovation

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Data Science, and Customer Success, to define and deliver impactful features

o Participate in code reviews, foster knowledge sharing, and promote technical excellence

o Stay ahead of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the platform remains cutting-edge.

  1. Operational Excellence

o Build and scale DevSecOps practices to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient delivery pipelines

o Drive AIOps adoption to enhance monitoring, automation, and incident management

o Establish metrics to monitor team performance, platform health, and development velocity, and take corrective actions where needed.

o Build an inclusive, engaging, and empowering environment that attracts and retains top engineering talent.

o Foster an innovation-first culture that embraces calculated risks and rewards creativity.

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Cross-Functional Global Leadership and establishing strategic partnerships to drive business and technical outcomes
  • Expertise in AI/ML/Computer Vision, working with large-scale data, and building robust ML Ops pipelines
  • Strong background in designing and managing cloud-native platforms to deliver reliable, secure, compliant, and cost-effective services at scale
  • Proficiency in database/API modeling and design for building low/no-code solutions and configurable rule engines
  • Demonstrated experience in microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration to enable modular, maintainable, and scalable systems
  • A track record of leading successful transformations and driving agile, quality-first changes across engineering teams
  • Exceptional skills in research, insightful analysis, communication, and presentation, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Familiarity with hardware design/engineering to complement software leadership expertise an asset.
